A client/therapist relationship built on a mutual respect for personal and professional boundaries nurtures a successful venture into treatment and support. We offer you a clean, safe, comfortable, caring space in which open communication and transparency are always encouraged.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first session for a short consultation. This will give you the opportunity to fill out paperwork and discuss the direction you would like to see your session(s) go.
We ask that you please give us a 24 hour notice of any changes or cancellations to an appointment. We also realize that in this busy world things do come up, but if you are unable to cancel in that window, we do charge 50% of the service for the cancellation. If the appointment is missed without any previous communication, the full amount of the session is charged.
If you arrive late, unless previous arrangements have been made, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other clients, please plan accordingly and be on time.
We accept cash, check or charge.
Payment is due at the conclusion of a session unless previous arrangements have been made.
A $25 returned check free is charged.
We are open to barter arrangements for services or items- please inquire when making an appointment. We retain the right to accept or deny any barter offer at will.
Gratuities are not expected, but are graciously accepted.
Communication is key! We will check in with you several times during our sessions, but please speak up if you would like a different amount of pressure or if anything feels uncomfortable. It is easy to adjust as long as we have your feedback!
Prior to each session, we will go over the treatment plan. At your first visit, you will be asked to look over and sign the policies and procedures of our studio.
You may ask to stop any treatment at any time.
A massage is best received completely unclothed, but we respect your comfort level. Our draping techniques are designed to respect your modesty and comfort at all times. With draping, only the part of you being worked on will be uncovered at any time.
Massage is a non-sexual therapeutic practice. Any suggestive language or inappropriate contact is met with a zero tolerance policy. Upon violation of this policy, the session will terminate immediately with full payment due.
All discussions between the client and therapist are considered completely confidential. Any health information disclosed is also confidential.
Health Information/ Contraindications
Please provide accurate and complete information regarding any health concerns, pre existing conditions or injuries on your intake forms. Any changes in health must be discussed with your therapist to ensure the best treatment and continued health and safety for both you and the therapist.
Fever, contagious diseases or other contraindicated conditions will be cause for rescheduling.
Recent injury, cancers, neurological conditions or any conditions requiring a physician’s care will require a physician’s note of approval before entering into a session.
Product Allergies/ Sensitivities
Please let us know of any product allergies or sensitivities before your session. Most often we use a mix of shea butter and coconut oil. Additionally if there are any sensitivitiies to fragrances, please let us know.
